Background

My original business Online Sex Therapy was born from the realisation that many people needed a safe and effective way to talk about their concerns around sex and intimacy without leaving the comfort of their home. I found with so much misleading information online, what’s often presented as fact can actually cause confusion and anxiety, leaving people feeling more lost than informed. Over time, it evolved into a fuller practice, offering integrative psychotherapy, sex addiction treatment, and clinical supervision.

Today, that legacy continues to shape my work. While I’m no longer in clinical practice, the heart of Online Sex Therapy lives on through my creative projects – each one crafted to offer clarity, connection, and comfort in a world that often makes intimacy more complicated than it needs to be. Whether through journals, art, or education, I’m still here to help people feel a little more seen, understood, and at ease with themselves.

Astrid

With Irish sass and Norwegian cool in my DNA, I’m usually halfway to my next adventure before the kettle’s boiled. At six feet tall with boho dreads, I don’t exactly blend in — and I wouldn’t want to. I’ve got a soft spot for rock music, bold tattoos, and motorbikes. Equal parts grounded and mischievous, I show up with heart, humour, and a dash of wild curiosity wherever I go.

Provenance

I hold professional qualifications across several specialist areas including a Diploma in Person Centred Therapy, a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy, a Diploma in Sex Addiction, and a Diploma in Clinical Supervision. In addition, I have also completed training in EMDR and have a Diploma in Education and Training. I was awarded a PhD for academic credit from a USA based institution in 2015.

My clinical career began in the NHS in 1989, where I worked in direct patient care. In 2006, I established my private therapeutic practice, offering a specialist service in integrative psychotherapy, ultimately expanding to psychosexual therapy, and sex addiction treatment.

Though I’ve hung up my hat as a Psychosexual Consultant, I’m far from done. These days, I pour my experience into creative adventures that spark emotional insight, deepen connections, and celebrate intimate intelligence – with a good dose of flair and fun along the way.
